Dunkin’ Franchisee Spreading the Joy One Cause at a Time

For Dunkin’ franchisee Miten Patel, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a smile on a child’s face. As one of the most charitable franchisees in the Dunkin’ system, Miten has donated countless hours and thousands of dollars to a variety of charitable causes throughout New Jersey and New York. In 2017 alone, Miten partnered with several blood bank providers to host blood drives at his restaurant locations, fundraised thousands of dollars for the Joy in Childhood Foundation, donated toys to local children’s hospitals and hosted holiday parties for local police departments.

Last December, Miten hosted an out-of-pocket event for the local community to raise funds for kids battling hunger or illness across the country. More than 500 people attended this star-studded event, with celebrity performances by Kevin Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers), former Giants football player, Lee Rouson, and MLB/NHL studio host and reporter, Scott Braun. In addition to the event, Miten auctioned off five guitars signed by Kevin Jonas. Overall, through the multiple fundraising initiatives in 2017, Miten’s stores raised over $19,000 for the Joy in Childhood Foundation.
