Local Entrepreneur Recognized for Giving Back to the Local Community

Money Mailer, a leader in the U.S. direct marketing industry, recently awarded local entrepreneur, Ingrid Drouin, with the Community Service Award at the company’s annual conference in Huntington Beach, CA.

The award recognizes Drouin for demonstrating the extraordinary difference Money Mailer can make in a local community. Drouin’s Money Mailer of Buffalo Grove & Northern Suburbs franchise helped the community raise more than $315,000 by promoting awareness in local households and local businesses through the Money Mailer envelope.

“I am unbelievably honored to receive the 2013 Community Service award,” said Drouin. “My best friend lost her battle to breast cancer after battling it for over 15 years, leaving behind twin 11 year old girls who are my god daughters. To work so hard and give so much of my time to raise money to fight cancer has been such an important goal of mine. It is very rewarding to be recognized by Money Mailer for my hard work. I have always felt very strongly about the importance of giving back and supporting the community that I live in and Money Mailer has given me the platform to be able to communicate my efforts to literally thousands in and around my community.”

Drouin began her Money Mailer franchise in 2005 after transitioning from corporate America. Being a psychology major in college, she has always loved working with people, which Money Mailer provides her the opportunity to do. Additionally, she is a committee chairman for marketing Barrington’s Relay for Life since 2010.
