Celebrating National Coaches Day – 2014 Winner Gary Mioli

Today, October 6th, is National Coaches Day – and what better way to celebrate than to introduce and celebrate Gary Mioli, the inaugural National Coaches Day Award Winner.

Last Thursday, James Thomson and Don Crouch of NFP Sports, the presenting sponsor and driving force behind the National Coaches Day awards program, traveled to Park Ridge, NJ to honor Coach Gary Mioli as the first ever award winner as part of a schoolwide pep rally and celebration. Local media members, NFL Films, and the school district superintendent, Dr. Robert Gamper, were all present to capture the powerfully emotional moment as Mioli’s widow, Patty Mioli, accepted the official plaque, a bouquet of flowers, and a $2,500 check on behalf of Coach Mioli and the Park Ridge Booster Club.
