Chefs’ Community Table Initiative Provides Hunger Relief
Chefs’ Community Table is a new charitable initiative that enables people to purchase and donate meals from their favorite restaurants to hunger relief organizations in the Morristown, New Jersey area. Organized by St. Jacques Marketing, a locally based franchise marketing firm, the campaign is a collaborative effort between local restaurants and community partners to provide nutritious, restaurant-quality meals to those struggling with hunger.
“We saw a great opportunity to develop an exciting food drive concept that would connect local restaurants, their customers and the community at large with people who are struggling. Bringing people together towards a common cause is a great way to build and enhance relationships – and that’s what community is all about,” said Philip St. Jacques, president of St. Jacques Marketing.
Chefs’ Community Table is made possible by Amp Your Good, a crowdfeeding technology platform that allows organizations to sponsor food drives that provide fresh and healthy food items rather than the typical, non-perishable foods collected by traditional food banks.
“This is a fantastic use of our platform,” said Patrick O’Neill, CEO of Amp Your Good. “What better way to help someone facing hunger than to give them a delicious meal.”
Chefs’ Community Table is aligned with several local organizations in the Morristown area, including The Market Street Mission, which donates approximately 250 meals per day to local residents.
“Chefs’ Community Table is a great way for people to connect and give back to the Morristown community,” said David Scott, executive director of The Market Street Mission. “The meals donated from this campaign will have a direct and immediate impact on those families most in need.”
