Cary Family YMCA Receives $2,000 Donation From Burger 21 Grand Opening in North Carolina
Burger 21, the “beyond the better burger” fast casual restaurant, recently celebrated the opening of its second North Carolina location in Cary. As part of the brand’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, the restaurant donated proceeds from the first two days of business – totaling $2,000 – to the Cary Family YMCA.
“We are so excited to be a part of the Cary community,” said Mitch Neal, Burger 21 franchisee. “The brand’s ‘B Charitable’ initiative really hits home for us as we are active in our communities. Our families live here. Our kids go to school here. We are truly grateful to be able to offer assistance to organizations that help our neighbors.”
Since its inception, Burger 21 has provided more than $127,000 in contributions as part of its “B Charitable” initiative, in which it donates 10 percent of its restaurants’ sales to local schools and charities on the 21st of each month. The company currently has 14 locations open in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Virginia, and more than 20 in development in seven states.
