Charity Entry by Stephanie Fritz 10/12/2016

In October 2016, America's Swimming Pool Company (ASP) hosted its second annual breast cancer awareness campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness month. This "ASP Goes Pink" campaign is a social media photo contest where ASP locations took creative pictures of themselves wearing a pink ASP branded shirt. If the franchisee had a story to tell about a breast cancer fighter, we asked that they share a personal story or tag a survivor they know on Facebook. To participate in this contest, Facebook users were asked to follow the corporate @asppoolco on Facebook, and like and share their favorite pink shirt photo on Wednesday, October 12th using hashtags #HelpingWomenNow, #BCA, and #ASPGoesPink. For every new like received to the @asppoolco Facebook page, we donated $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The corporate ASP location raised $1,000 for NBCF in this social media campaign. The ASP franchise location in Las Vegas won the contest by submitting a picture of their team with an Elvis impersonator in front of the iconic Las Vegas sign. This photo was a hit and the ASP Las Vegas location also raised $1 per photo like during the social media campaign. In whole, this social media campaign raised $1,215 for NBCF, encouraged continued support for breast cancer research, and helped our franchise owners make a social connection with their personal stories, and be an advocate for something we are passionate about.

America's Swimming Pool Company will continue this tradition and run a 2017 ASP Goes Pink social media campaign to help support breast cancer awareness and research. Here is the link to view the photos from our 2016 ASP Goes Pink campaign:
