The FOA Million began in 2017 and was known as the Sell More Subs, Save More Lives campaign. Through this campaign, Firehouse Subs was able to let guests know that their subs really help save lives. How? A portion of every purchase in 2017 at all U.S. Firehouse Subs locations went to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. Firehouse of America donated 0.13 percent of every purchase made in 2017 at all U.S. Firehouse Subs locations to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. This percentage resulted in a minimum donation of one million dollars. The donated million dollars helps to provide lifesaving equipment and needed resources to first responders and public safety organizations. In fact, proceeds from this campaign allowed Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to provide a grant to Harris County Emergency Services District 48 Fire Department in Katy, Texas, which was used to purchase rescue boats. The boats arrived weeks before Hurricane Harvey hit the area and were used in the aftermath of the storm.
This campaign was deemed such a success that it continues into 2018 as the FOA Million.
