After a thoughtful selection process, FranConnect chose to give back to the local community through Warrior Canine Connection. Warrior Canine Connection uses a mission-based trauma recovery model to help recovering warriors reintegrate into civilian life and reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other by training service dogs. On May 11, 2017, a group of 25 FranConnect employees visited WCC to construct and paint privacy fencing, prepare meals, groom service dogs, and clean the office. FranConnect also provided the monetary donation to cover material expenses necessary for the project. The overall goal was to help provide a functional and safe environment for the veterans and service dogs in training, as well as assist in daily and weekly tasks the staff normally must accomplish on their own.
