Orangetheory® Fitness is a one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by skilled personal trainers, participants use a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX® suspension training and free weights, burning an average of 500 – 1,000 calories, including after-burn. The result is the Orange Effect!

Launch U is a non for profit based out of Chicago which pairs young professionals with high achieving urban scholars to help expose them to college life and career opportunities and provide general guidance during their senior year of high school. Launch U empowers young, achieving, motivated youth to pursue their dreams of college graduation. Specifically, young professionals assist Launch U scholars in the college application process, as well as in the pursuit of employment post-graduation through interview skill development and tailored career path advice. Their vision is for each Launch U scholar to be able to use the network they build through their Launch U experience to take advantage of career opportunities in the future.
Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) Old Town Chicago partnered up with Launch U in a true fitness challenge! Launch U participants and OTF Old Town staff created an afternoon of fundraising "Dri Tri" classes. Participants competed to finish the fastest 5k run, 2,000 meter row, and 300 reps of body weight exercises in studio. Each pair of competitors raised a minimum of $500 to participate in the class; most raised more! $500 will sponsor one student for an ENTIRE YEAR with Launch U. Thus, from the $22,500 raised, Launch U will be able to assist 45 more achieving students from challenged communities in Chicago in 2016. The event was a great success, inspiring OTF members to support Launch U, as well as inspiring Launch U participants to elevate their health and fitness goals. With food sponsors at the event (Power Crunch and Arbonne), all participants were encouraged to snack and network with one another, sharing information about their career routes and advice for navigating their respective field. Overall, a great sum of money was raised to impact multiple students in need of support and guidance through an extremely challenging, but fun fitness event. We look forward to next year's charity driven Dri Tri competition at Orangetheory Fitness Old Town!

During our opening week, OTF DTC lead a fundraiser to raise $6,500 in 10 days to send a local Wish Kid, Wyrik - diagnosed with terminal Moyamoya disease, to Disneyland. In a matter of 10 days we were able to raise 100% of our goal, with the help of the Stapleton, Lowry, and Highlands Ranch studios. Along with advertising in our studios, we did many different social media posts, as well as being recognized by the Make-A-Wish national page. We were so excited to incorporate this fund raiser into the Grand Opening of the OTF DTC studio.
