Over 4,000 KiltGirls sold Silver or Gold paper Dogtags from May 26-July 4, 2014 for $1 or $5. We had a competition among the pubs and the Schaumburg, IL won, raising $20,320. Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.) Sr. VP, Public Relations and Military AffairsnFolds of Honor Foundation attended our Tilted Kilt International Conference in October to thank us and acknowledge those $2,000 Club Winners. Mission Statement of the Folds of Honor Foundation Honoring Their Sacrifice, Educating Their Legacy. Of the one million-plus dependents adversely affected by deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, nearly nine out of 10 do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. Folds of Honor seeks to meet this need by providing annual educational scholarships to the military families of those who have been killed or disabled while in active duty. These help support private education tuition, tutoring and educational summer camps for children K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and children. Since its founding in 2007, the organization is proud to have awarded over 7,500 scholarships, including over 2,000 in 2014 alone.

Cinnabon
In 1985, foodies in Seattle, WA wanted to make “the world’s greatest cinnamon roll” for a new brand they were developing. They hired a local baker, and after three months, hundreds of kitchen experiments, and many trips to Indonesia to find the best, most flavorful cinnamon, the team perfected the Cinnabon recipe and opened the first bakery on December 5, 1985. The Cinnabon brand has become world famous, with more than 850 bakeries in over 35 countries serving baked goods such as the famous Classic Roll and various specialty blended beverages.
