Express Employment Professionals and Volunteers Help Fight Hunger
On Saturday, June 13, more than 225 Express Employment Professionals offices from California to North Carolina to Canada came together at local food banks and pantries across North America to help fight hunger—a growing epidemic that impacts millions of people in the U.S., Canada and around the world every day.
Offices spent time working and serving at their local food banks, pantries and other nonprofit organizations and were able to donate more than 65,000 meals through food drives that were held leading up to the day of service.
“Brand It Blue Day allowed the entire Express family to come together to help the communities we work and live in,” said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express. “As Express continues our long-term goal to put a million people to work annually, we’re excited to continue volunteering and serving people in need.
“We were especially thrilled to see the impact our efforts made toward helping children and families find a meal this summer,” Funk said. “This was a great time to bring families together and show what it looks like to give back.”
In the past three years, Express offices have donated more than 156,000 meals to nonprofit organizations across North America through their efforts for Brand It Blue Day.
